Warm week

The Cascades will be sunny and mild during the afternoons this week, but it is late September which means the nights cool off fast.  Same story east of the mountains.

The Cascades and central Oregon both have a decent shot at a few showers beginning Saturday afternoon and carrying into Sunday.

The Oregon coast:  The sun will even be a regular over on the coast this week.  The whole week won’t be sunny, but much more sunshine than one might typically expect over there.

For Saturday & Sunday the coast does have a slightly higher chance at seeing some rain showers, but with sunbreaks still mixed in at times, so not a washout by any means.  This shower threat will extend into Monday.

Rainy Cascades

The rain showers this week will dramatically reduce the fire threat west of the Cascade crest.  Too early in the season for any real snowfall up there, so just expect rain.

Central Oregon will see a couple showers, but most of the moisture coming this week will struggle to make it over there which means if you find yourself in Central Oregon this week then odds are it will be dry for you.

Beautiful weather!!!

If your travels take you to the Cascades or east of the mountains than you are in luck.  Beautiful late summer weather is on tap with highs in the mid 70s to the mid 80s depending on elevation.

No rain or storms in sight.

Nighttime lows ranging from low 30s to upper 40s also dependent on elevation with the coldest temps being higher up.

Enjoy the nice weather 😉

Update on the heat

Our hot weather peaks this Sunday and Monday with highs close to 100 both days and lows only dipping down to the mid to upper 60s.  Humidity and smoke will also be on the increase through Monday.

Tuesday will still be quite warm: high 87.

We gradually cool through the week with highs by next Saturday and Sunday only getting into the mid 70s.

Still no rain in sight or any chance for mountain thunderstorms through at least the next 6 days.
