Details
This will be a short post as I squeeze in time between church, homework, and lesson planning. In general, the next 8 or 9 days look pretty uneventful with more dry times than wet.
1. Lots of foggy mornings leading to generally cloudy afternoons. It’s that time of year again when the sun has a difficult time warming up the surface during these dry days.
2. Light rain Wednesday night and Thursday morning. This is such a weak system, and the timing at night could make it so that many of us barely even notice the rain. Expect most of Thursday during the daylight hours to be dry.
3. A second weak front moves through Friday for another round of light rain. This one could make for a damp day.
4. Saturday looks dry – maybe even sunny as we get a little bit of a brief offshore flow developing. This will be the day to do outdoor activities if you wish to be dry!
5. Sunday. At the moment, looks like it could be wet. Still doesn’t look as if it will be a big storm, but wet weather seems likely that day.
6. Next week, especially heading closer to the middle of the month could be pretty stormy. The image below shows a strong jet stream aimed right at the west coast on the 12th. I think much wetter, and possibly windy weather could be on our horizon later in the month. Too far away for details, but I’ve been watching this signal for several days now, and it continues to grow stronger. Definitely something to keep an eye on.
Have a great rest of your Sunday and enjoy the first week of November 2026! Also, don’t forget to vote. I’m still a believer that voting matters. If you think it doesn’t, then look at what’s happening around the world. Elections do matter, and they do have consequences, so be sure to vote by 8pm Tuesday!
