Not too many details in this post. It was the very first day of school today in a new position. I absolutely love it by the way! Just busy as ever and forecasting the weather comes second. The most important things you need to know is how quickly our dry weather is coming to an end. This means pick those tomatoes or other home grown fruits and veggies that may be harmed by heavy rainfall by Tuesday night.

Wednesday:

The very early morning may begin dry with cloudy skies, but rain will move inland by noon at the latest. Rainy all afternoon with wind gusts 25 to 30mph. It’s honestly going to feel straight up like a regular November day. Looking at more than half an inch of rain! Rain transitions to a few showers in the evening. Highs in the mid 60s. Brrrrr!! Temperatures Wednesday and Thursday are certainly going to be a shock; especially with precipitation falling.

Thursday:

Expect the good old shower/sunbreak routine. Many of these showers will be quite heavy, some could have small hail, and a few will likely produce lightning and thunder.

Friday – Monday:

Details in this time frame are going to be tricky to pinpoint, and it’s just the unpredictable nature of cutoff low like this. Showers with extended periods of dry and partly cloudy weather in between. When and where showers fall is harder to know at this point. Unfortunately for weekend plans, rain showers could show up at any point in time.

Cascades and east of the Cascades

Great news here! A few inches of rain are expected along the Cascades, and many locations east of the mountains should pick up a solid half inch by Saturday night. This map shows what I’m saying really well.

This is really going to help out the fire situation. It won’t end the fire season completely east of the Cascades, but it will severely limit the potential of fires spreading a whole lot more beyond Wednesday.
