Lots of dry weather

New forecast is out after spending a bit of time yesterday thinking, reviewing, and looking back on Sunday’s messed up forecast :/ .  Silver lining is that I’ve got another learning experience under my belt (trying to think positive) and hopefully I will continue to improve my forecasting skill as time goes on.  Anyway, high confidence all the way through this week that we stay dry each day.  Doesn’t mean it won’t change, just a smaller chance that it does so.

Sunday update

Luke no

My “dry” Sunday has turned into a not so dry day after all.  This didn’t come out of nowhere of course.  Last night I noticed the weather models were starting to paint a little  precip over us, but I figured they were overdoing it.  Well, now we all know that it wasn’t overdone.  Hopefully lesson learned…

Okay, picking myself up and moving on I see that much of the day should still be dry, but if your plans required all dry weather (again I’m so sorry) then you will need to make alternate plans.

Monday & Tuesday both look showery.

Monday:  Dry with some very light evening showers.

Big changes coming

We have a very wet storm coming for this Friday & Saturday.  Expect close to half an inch of rain and breezy winds gusting to 25mph.  Nothing crazy, but our first real fall storm of the year.

Oct 2

Saturday:  Showers in the morning will taper off into just a few isolated showers for the afternoon.

Sunday:  Dry & sunny.

Monday:  Dry most of the day with a few late day/evening showers.

Tuesday: Breezy conditions return, especially during the afternoon hours.  Showers.

Wednesday & Thursday:  Dry, but chilly for this time of year with our first widespread lows in the 30s and highs even under sunny skies only making the low to mid 60s.

October starts off dry

Oct 1

Tuesday – Thursday:  Dry, but plenty of clouds around.

Friday:  Dry start to the day, but rain and breezy conditions will move in during the afternoon making for a very wet early fall day.

Saturday:  Rain will turn to showers and by the late afternoon it should be mostly dry again.

Sunday:  A nice dry day.

Monday & Tuesday:  Less confidence, but looks like showers will be likely both days along with cooler temps.

On the road update

Quick forecast as I’m on the road for a weekend trip.

For Saturday and Sunday see my previous forecast as it still applies with very few changes except that showers Saturday evening and Sunday early morning look more likely than originally thought.

Monday through Thursday:  Vast majority of these days will be dry, but can’t rule out a stray shower or two as we will be right on the edge of several weak passing weather systems.

Next Friday and Saturday look dry for now.

Enjoy the weekend!!!
