Tuesday: Dry during the day with a small chance for a shower Tuesday night.
Wednesday: A morning shower possible, rest of the day: cloudy with a few sun breaks.
Thursday: Dry, but fairly cloudy.
Friday & Saturday: Warm and sunny.
Sunday: Dry most of the day with an increasing chance for a shower during the afternoon and evening.
Monday: Dry.
It’s been a long time and I’m so so sorry about the lack of updates. The thunder and lightning this past Sunday was pretty exciting (at least for me) and I hope you all were able to enjoy it as well. I’ve been busy with school, subbing in schools, family events, and recently my transformation of a section of yard into what will hopefully be an amazing garden, but more on that later 😉 Back to weather, the forecast for the Salem area looks like this:
Basically a few days of showers then very sunny and warm again.

We have a few very nice sunbreaks right now, so get outside to enjoy them while you can because some heavy showers will start to move through the area as the day wears on.

Tuesday through next weekend looks to be dry and warm with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s again.
Our beautiful late April weather has arrived and will be with us through Thursday. The forecast is working out well so far which always brings a smile to my face. Sadly, I had to lower the temps for the Friday through next Monday time frame due to some extra showers that look to be moving in over the weekend. Here’s the latest forecast:
Tuesday of next week is now looking like the start of another dry period.

We have near record warm temperatures coming this week. I’ve got an updated extended forecast for you all along with a few extra details!
Tuesday – Thursday: Near record high temps for this time of year with highs 83 to 85. It’s going to feel pretty warm!!
Thursday night – Friday: A chance of thunderstorms arrives LATE Thursday evening through Friday. I’ll be watching that time frame closely.
Saturday & Sunday: Much cooler with lots of clouds around and more showers.
The following week looks to dry out again.
A quick update as I’m on the road again headed to central Oregon for a weekend work trip with church.
Here’s the main message: Very warm Monday through Thursday with temps in the mid to upper 70s each day, so enjoy it make sure you have a chance to get outside this week!!
BUT FIRST, we have to get through 1 day of clouds with some light sprinkles, then Sunday it warms right back up. I’ll give you all a nice update Sunday when I return home.

Fun Fact: If you think it’s been a rainy April then you are correct. As of today (the 17th) Salem has had about 5 inches of rain. The average rain total for this point in the month is only 1.65″ which means it really has been an especially wet month. Not that you needed me to tell you that 😉 . I think these next several days will feel pretty nice after all the rain we’ve had.
